Regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the world, The Ocean Course, designed by Alice and Pete Dye, is unmatched in design quality, shot values and sheer beauty. As witness to many famous moments in golf history, The Ocean Course has hosted the 1991 Ryder Cup, the 2012 PGA Championship, and the 2021 PGA Championship in May of 2021. The Atlantic Ocean can be seen from every hole on the course, particularly from holes 14 through 18, which run directly along the sea. A modern course based on classic design concepts inspired by the famous links courses in the British Isles, The Ocean Course is an easy walk with short distances between greens and tees. In observance of the rich traditions of the game and overall enjoyment, the course is walking only. (Carts are allowed for tee times after 10 am during June, July and August.)
